Evaluation

Evaluation which should include:-

  • A discussion and justification of the pedagogical principles applied to the materials.
  • A judgement of the effectiveness of materials
  • Justification of chosen technology to the dilivery of the materials.
  • Critically appraise the suitability of these materials for the chosen educational setting.

The elevation form is in the format of microsoft word. With this evaluation form the users could know what are they learning and a feedback for the facilitator in future.

Introduction to the Library Services

Library Services:-
  • Loan for postgraduate students is 20 items fo 30 days loans and can be renewed three (3) times unless they have been reserved by other users. Renewals can be done by telephone, email or on-line. The fines is 10 cents per day.
  • Membership is open to all registered students of the University of Malaya.
  • Interlibrary Loan service is available from the Main Library and Branch Libraries to all local universities, government and semi-government libraries and no fee is imposed by the Library to all postgraduate students that needs to locate meterials that is not in the university collection.
  • Document Delivery is a service provided by the library for which journal articles not available in its collection are obtained from external sources. For Master students could get hold of 10 articles free and for PhD for 20 articles free in a years.

Introduction to the Library

The University of Malaya Library (UML) was established in 1959 and has a total collection of more than a million titles up to date. The University Library consists of a Main Library which provides library facilities for the whole campus and a network of branch and special libraries to meet the specific and special needs of some faculties.

The collection comprises of books, journals, conference proceedings, audio video, microform, theses and dissertations. UML also offers access to electronic resources such as e-journals, databases, citation indexes, and bibliographic management software.
